Satan's Goals for My Daughters on Their Wedding Day

Excerpt taken from "The Seven Biblical Laws of Courtship"

On your wedding day, Satan wants you to marry someone whom God never intended for you to marry.
On your wedding day, Satan wants you to have already experimented with sex.
On your wedding day, Satan wants you to be ill-prepared to make your marriage a success.
On your wedding day, Satan wants you to break your parents' hearts and grieve your pastor.
On your wedding day, Satan wants you to have ruined your testimony and to have brought shame to the name of Christ because of your unwise dating habits.
On your wedding day, Satan wants you to have no idea how to define or practice agape love.
On your wedding day, Satan wants your choice of a marriage partner to cause you to sacrifice the chance to fulfill God's calling on your life.

Yet our mighty God has His own set of plans for their lives:

By the grace of Almighty God, I will marry the person God has created for me
By the grace f Almighty God, I will arrive at the marriage altar morally pure
By the grace of Almighty God, I will arrive at the marriage altar prepared to fulfill my responsibilities as a marriage partner
By the grace of Almighty God, our marriage will have the blessing of both sets of parents and our pastors
By the grace of Almighty God, I will have glorified God and maintained an unquestionable christian testimony throughout my courtship
By the grace of Almighty God, I will give to my partner someone who understands and practices real agape love
By the grace of Almighty God, on my wedding day, I will be in a position to fulfill God's specific calling for my life.

Doesn't that sound like a far-fetched dream? It seems that way to us because the roaring lion is out there too, tempting our children with shortcuts and promises. The deceiver plays on emotions and carnal desires and derails the dreams a young person holds. May we stay vigilant to pray for our teens and their future mates!

  2. Very true. It gives me a stark reminder to not only be a good example for my daughter but also being diligent in teaching her His word.
