It Is Your Life {Review & Giveaway}

A few weeks ago I received a DVD bundle from Shane and Edee Moore of Moore Family Films. Having already been familiar with the Moore's films, I was excited to watch and review their newest project: It Is Your Life featuring the Moody Family.

Even before previewing, I knew enough about the Moores to know I could safely let our children watch the film with us. What a blessing to have a source of family entertainment that honored God and caused us to come away from family movie night not just entertained, but strengthened in our faith in the Lord.

Throughout the film, you will hear bits of the testimony of Trent and Angela Moody.  You will hear about where the Lord has brought them and the convictions that generate their countercultural actions in how they bring up their children.  In a humble and gentle manner, Trent encourages us to look to scripture for every practice in life.  With a quiet and gentle spirit, Angela confesses her dependence on Christ as she mothers a houseful of children in a small home, and joyfully receives the children God chooses to give her.

The film is a hefty 67 minutes and is full of encouragement.  My son particularly enjoyed hearing from the oldest son in the Moody family, who is rising to meet the heavy responsibilities given him as the oldest.  To work hard, to give selflessly to others, to view your role as the oldest son as one of privilege and influence...you don't hear this much in the world today.  He didn't say so, but I'm pretty certain this young man doesn't play many video games.

Other subjects addressed in the film include:

• Family unity
• Home education for Biblical reasons
• Grandparents’ perspectives
• Influencing the culture while protecting our children
• Trusting the Lord for the blessing of children in spite of financial and physical difficulties
• Training sons and daughters in their God-ordained roles
• Caring for an aging parent
• Daily family worship

Watch the trailer below!

I would love some ideas for good family watching. We tend to enjoy documentary films best as it's so hard to know what is good out there ( I'm going to be peeking at the answers here for ideas).
Have a wonderful day
Blessings
Renata:)

All our children are under 5 so family movie night mostly consists of things like Veggie Tales, 321 Penguins, Adventures in Odyssey, and the like. We have seen Children are a Blessing and Its your life The Moss Family. The trailors of the other two look really good and I can't wait to have a chance to view them. I would to win a copy and be able to share it with family and friends. Thanks

Children are a Blessing would be awesome. One of our favorites is Journey Home. We shared it with our small group and all got inspired.

Thanks!
